The photographer Herlinde Koelbl does not only show the aesthetics of her images which unmistakable carry her characteristic signature. She also manages to hit a sensitive spot with her selected topics. She comes close to her subjects - predominantly people - and overcomes conventional hurdles. The photographer from Munich reveals how people face their fate and destiny, an extraordinary performance.
